Goal of Awards
The goal of the Champions of Health awards is to honor people, health care professionals, government officials and non-profit groups that work to improve the health of Oklahoma communities and to create partnerships to improve Oklahoma's health.
Judging
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) reviews all Champions of Health nominations. Entries will not be forwarded to the judges if any of the nomination requirements are not met. Please note that each entry may be entered only in one category.
Nominators will be told if the entry does not pass the screening process.
A panel of health industry and business professionals will judge the Champions of Health nominations. Award determinations will be made by the group of judges.

One overall Dr. Rodney L. Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health award will be chosen from all entries in all categories. The winner of this top honor will receive a $20,000 grant to support efforts to improve Oklahoma's health. Winners of the Champions of the Uninsured, Champion of Children's Health, Community Health Champion and Champion of Senior Health categories will receive a $5,000 grant for their organization.
